violent seas threaten to devour you
please accept this equally crushing truth…
Yes, you needed help love
At night, could it be that the moon is a hole in which the gods have a peek into our lives
When we’re done with the seizing of the day
Running after the dreams that elude us
At the point of exhaustion, we undress
And they see us for who we really are:
Liberated to our essential
another drilling through concrete
digging for new additions to summer city,
but I keep my dreams off-gray and search for the pretty…
a smiling face in the crowd
when extinguished, turn sentimental
A thoughtless repetition strips life
of its inherent sweetness
a new seduction must be invented
too tired of waiting for that Jesus hour
too tired of wanting that golden egg of fortune
too angry of being ok (alright) with your own mediocrity
and then you make the first move…
The poet Joe Pintauro had us at Smile
across the busy cafe, we did just that…smile
but we’ll never know why
First post of the year! Hello again world!
frothing at the mouth,
why such violent affection?
I started this blog 2 years ago to keep my creative wheels for images and words working everyday. Fascinating things came out of this exercise and it helped me grow in my practice. I churned out stories through the daily posts I didn’t know existed or couldn’t quite confront but needed an outlet to be known.
This 2012, I feel that I should try harder and work better to keep this blog up…showing up every day of the week. This was such good practice and I should really keep at it.
Let’s begin again.

these hearts bleed and burn
for the wounds of the lonely
’til the right ones come
